Auckland Chiropractor, Dr. Joel Taylor, B.Chiro

My journey in Chiropractic started like many of the people we see everyday.

Dr. Joel Taylor, Auckland Chiropractor

I started seeing a chiropractor not out of pain but to see how it could benefit my quality of life. I was so impressed with the chiropractic philosophy, increased energy levels, clarity of thought and over all improvement in health that after 3 months of care I was convinced serving people through chiropractic was my calling.

Special Interest in Chiropractic Paediatrics & Maternity Care

I completed my chiropractic studies at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic having seen a large variety of the population. I have a daughter, 3years old, so consequently I have an interest in chiropractic paediatrics and maternity care.  In 2009 I earned the clinic paediatric award and look forward to continue specialising in this area through post graduate studies.

I have a passion for chiropractic and helping to provide the tools for maximising health expression. My other interests include good food, adventure activities, music, movies and art.

I look forward to serving as many people, families and communities as possible. Feel free to call Mt. Eden 09 638-8266 / Chiropractic Edge: 09 239-2837 when you want to get started.

Dr. Kelly Asks some important questions of interest to Mt Eden residents - Chiropractor Mt Eden Dr. Kelly Asks...

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognise two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our Mt Eden office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
