Unlike many in the profession, when Dr. Georgina Compton decided to become a chiropractor, neither she nor her family had ever experienced chiropractic care.

“I had no idea that chiropractic has helped millions of people worldwide. The philosophy of chiropractic just made complete sense to me.” says Dr. Compton.

At the time she was studying Health Sciences at the University of Canterbury, as she knew that she wanted to be in the health care profession, but was unsure of which direction to take.  >>read more

My mother initially took me to a Chiropractor when I was three years old for the relief of recurrent ear infections. From that point on my health improved dramatically and I have not looked back. Throughout my teenage years I started to visit my Chiropractor on a more regular basis, and I noticed several things start to happen. My timing and power with my sport went through the roof. I went from struggling to making first elevens to making rep teams in many sports within the same year. I have used Chiropractic care ever since for health and wellness promotion and not just for the relief of a specific ailment.>>read more

Auckland Chiropractor, Dr. Joel Taylor

Chiropractor Dr. Joel Taylor

My journey in Chiropractic started like many of the people we see everyday. I started seeing a chiropractor not out of pain but to see how it could benefit my quality of life. I was so impressed with the chiropractic philosophy, increased energy levels, clarity of thought and over all improvement in health that after 3 months of care I was convinced serving people through chiropractic was my calling. >>read more

Chiropractor, Dr. Patrick Fong

Chiropractor Dr. Patrick Fong

Unlike most chiropractors my introduction to chiropractic came rather late in life. I recall in the winter of 2002 I was struck down by a viral illness. Bed ridden and unable to work, with several months of seeing specialists and countless visits to GP’s office I was finally told that I had developed ‘chronic fatigue syndrome’ At the time of the illness I was working as pharmacist and had barley heard of this illness. >>read more

Dr. Kelly Asks some important questions of interest to Mt Eden residents - Chiropractor Mt Eden Dr. Kelly Asks...

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognise two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our Mt Eden office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
