Mt Eden Chiropractor Dr. Simon Kelly, B.Sc, B.Sc(Chiro) DICCP

'2010 Chiropractor of the year - NZ Alumni Association'

Chiropractor, Dr. Simon Kelly, B.Sc, B.Sc(Chiro) DICCP

My mother initially took me to a Chiropractor when I was three years old for the relief of recurrent ear infections. From that point on my health improved dramatically and I have not looked back. Throughout my teenage years I started to visit my Chiropractor on a more regular basis, and I noticed several things start to happen. My timing and power with my sport went through the roof. I went from struggling to making first elevens to making rep teams in many sports within the same year. I have used Chiropractic care ever since for health and wellness promotion and not just for the relief of a specific ailment.

Dr. Kelly Asks some important questions of interest to Mt Eden residents - Chiropractor Mt Eden Dr. Kelly Asks...

Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognise two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
Why are chiropractors wary of the germ theory?
Louis Pasteur originated the idea that germs caused disease. Yet, on his deathbed he recanted, declaring, "It's not the seed, but the soil." Meaning, it's not the germ that causes disease, but the condition of the body that allows the germ to thrive. Chiropractic care in our Mt Eden office is designed to bolster your resistance so germs don't see you as a good host.
